इसके बाद तेल को साफ करने और संरक्षित करने के लिए प्राकृतिक तरीकों का उपयोग किया जाता है। तेल को तीन से चार दिन के लिए एक बड़े जार में रख दिया जाता है, जिससे कि तेल में उपस्थित छोटे छोटे बीज के कण (गाद) तले में बैठ जाते हैं, और तेल उपयोग के लिए तैयार हो जाता है।
